About Rob

Apart from 12 Years Royal Naval service, I have always lived in North Essex, flying Police Helicopters from 1996 to March 2020. My background of public service, and a DNA-dislike of wasted resources is central to my being, finding me a passionate representative on Parish, District &/or County Council since 1997. As a committed environmentalist, while at Braintree DC, I focussed on many efficiencies, including waste & recycling; and promoting renewable energy. As a Commissioner on the Essex Climate Action Commission, I’m actively involved in both Transport & Infrastructure, as well as Energy & Waste sub commission groups. More recently, I’ve overseen an overhaul of the online Highways defect reporting system, and also Chair the award-winning North Essex Parking Partnership.
