Conservative Party Parliamentary candidate Priti Patel has welcomed Essex County Council’s decision to maintain the 91, 92 and 95 services after campaigning for services to be maintained. Following the publication of the initial timetable proposed by the Council, Priti was disappointed to learn that the reduction in morning services would prevent many constituents from being able to get to work, jeopardising their prospect of being able to retain their jobs and made subsequent representations to the Council.
Following Priti’s intervention on this issue, the Council acknowledged the importance of these services for the rural areas of the constituency and have committed to maintaining the service indefinitely. Priti said:
“After campaigning for a complete maintenance of the Hedingham services, I am pleased to confirm that the Council have finally listened to residents concerns and have committed to fully funding the continuation of these crucial services, taking into account the necessity to deliver a service that works for everyone and ensures that residents can continue to meet their daily obligations.”
