Witham Northern's Conservative candidate, Ross Playle, responds to the news that Gladman Housing have submitted a speculative housing application on a site behind Brain Valley Avenue in Black Notley:
"I know from the recent ‘Have Your Say’ surveys that myself and Priti Patel did in Black Notley, many residents are concerned about the speculative development of 90 homes put forward by Gladman Housing for a site behind Brain Valley Avenue. I know your District Councillor, Graham Butland, has also been supporting residents on this."
"Gladman have now sadly formally submitted an application to Braintree Council for the development but it is important to stress this site is not in the proposed Local Plan and we will be supporting residents against these proposals."
"Priti has already submitted views to the council backing residents in opposing this ill thought through development. You can find the details of the application and make your own comments on them using the link below."
