Witham Conservative’s town team have voiced there disappointment following last night’s planning meeting in which the Gimson’s site was given approval.
Speaking after the meeting, a spokesperson for the group, District Councillor James Coleridge, said: “We are bitterly disappointed by tonight’s decision. Having backed residents all the way in their opposition to this development, tonight’s result was the one we had been fighting so hard to prevent.
However, for us this is not over. We will continue to work closely with Priti Patel MP to stand up for residents against these opportunistic developers and ensure there are strong grounds to chuck out any inappropriate developments in our town”.
