Ross Playle is the Essex Council Councillor for the division of Witham Northern. Here you will find a bit more information on Ross as well as the latest news updates and publications from him.
About Ross
Ross grew up in Witham, attending Templas School and local comprehensive John Bramston, and has strong family links to the surrounding villages. Ross has always been involved in the community and for many years volunteered with Witham Boys' Brigade and Girls’ Association and is currently a bell-ringer at St. Nicolas Church in Chipping Hill.
Ross is already a strong voice for our local area and is widely known amongst the community. Like many local residents, Ross spent a lot of time commuting to London for work pre-covid. Ross continues to regularly raise matters with Greater Anglia about improving the rail service and the stations for all residents. Ross is also campaigning hard to reduce passing traffic through our town and villages along with calling for restrictions to HGVs and unnecessary through-traffic.
As a keen walker and cyclist, Ross is passionate about the Essex countryside and keeping it a clean and attractive place for all to enjoy. Being local and community-orientated, Ross knows the issues that matter to residents and what they want to see improved. This is an area Ross cares deeply about and is committed to improving for all.
Ross was first elected in May 2021 with over 2,000 votes.
