Our Priorities are YOUR Priorities
Coggeshall and the surrounding villages are immensely special places, and we want to make our ward an even better place to live and work.
If we’re fortunate enough to be elected, we will protect and enhance our local heritage. We will always defend against inappropriate development which doesn’t chime with the character of our local area, and use the new protections provided by the District Council’s Local Plan to secure better community infrastructure commitments. We will fight to protect our wonderful countryside, working with local MP Priti Patel to oppose unwanted and unnecessary proposals for additional pylons. Instead, we’ll campaign for an off-shore solution.
On other local issues, we will fight for better roads, and specifically
the dualling of the A120 from Braintree to the A12 to reduce traffic through Coggeshall, Stisted and Bradwell. We’ll push for improved flood defences, back local schools and do all we can to support our fantastic local businesses. Our Conservative-controlled District Council already provides high quality services while delivering value for money, and a vote for us will see this continue. Residents will still be able to rely on regular bin collections and we will support the Council’s ambition to achieve a 75% recycling figure by 2030.

Over the years, she has played an instrumental role in organising Jubilee celebra- tions and fetes on the Recreation Ground, run- ning the local Guide company and campaigning against inappropriate development in the local area.
Chris Siddall
Chris has lived in the local area for 38 years and has run a business in Coggeshall for 33, helping firms reduce their carbon footprint by eliminating waste and increasing recycling rates. With both of his children being educated at Honywood School, Chris is passionate about giving some- thing back to Coggeshall, Stisted and Bradwell, which is why he is standing for election to the District Council. As a sitting County Councillor, Chris has a reputation for listening to residents and getting things done.
